报告摘要:
In the early studies of heterogeneous catalytic applications of transition metal carbides (TMCs), the carbide itself was used individually as the catalytic active site which exhibited unique catalytic performance comparable to precious metal catalysts towards hydrogenation, dehydrogenation, isomerization, and hydrodeoxygenation. To promote the catalytic performance, the doping of secondary transition metals into the carbide lattice to form bimetallic carbides was extensively studied. In a third approach, TMCs could be used with noble metal or other transition metals, constituting the bifunctional or interfacial catalyst system. Indeed, due to its unique nature of chemical structures and electronic properties, molybdenum carbide has exhibited tremendous advantages as a promising catalyst and support for metal catalysts, leading to improved activity, selectivity and stability of catalysts. In this talk, recent progress has been reviewed for the preparation and rational design of molybdenum carbide-based catalysts towards reactions such as hydrogen production and purification, CO-resistant hydrogenation and tandem bifunctional conversion of CO+H2O in biomass conversion and FTS. The understandings toward the structure-performance relationship in molybdenum carbide and molybdenum carbide supported catalysts are also addressed.

马丁,北京大学化学与分子工程学院教授。针对我国社会能源和资源优化利用过程,主要开展氢能制备与输运,以及高值碳基化学品/油品合成, 以及催化反应机理研究等方面研究工作。获得2013年度北京大学青年教师教学比赛一等奖,2017年度中国科学十大进展,2018年度北京大学十佳导师。
